Abstract

Carlo Bordani, in his book Post-Society describes and elaborates on reflections regarding the social change experienced in the world as a result of the pandemic. According to him, humanity has just entered a new social, economic, and cultural phase that he calls “post-society”. His detailed sociological analysis of social order following the pandemic, the importance of emotions, and the surveillance established in this new social order demonstrate the author’s mastery of concepts and theories. In each chapter of the book, we discover new sociological concepts that allow us to once again realize the richness of sociological science and the author’s depth of knowledge on the subject.
