| dc.description.abstract | In a world increasingly shaped by vast communication networks and platforms, the critical role of communication in public health has, at times, not received the attention it deserves. Yet, as societies grapple with complex health challenges, the necessity for effective communication has never been more paramount. Moreover, today the intersection between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and public health is becoming increasingly evident, presenting both challenges and opportunities, especially in the context of vaccine communication and public trust. With the advancement of AI technologies, vaccine hesitancy and its effects on public perception have important implications for public health initiatives. Particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, these technological advances and changing public perceptions, combined with the increase in existing misinformation, have exponentially increased the challenges to public health. While the full extent of the spread of online misinformation about COVID-19 remains unclear, it remains an important issue that requires careful monitoring | en_US |
