Özet
Schools are environments that provide ideal conditions for the spread of infectious diseases. School-age children are susceptible to many infections. Situations such as students being in close contact for a long time, sharing and using some objects, limited opportunities for hand hygiene, inadequate personal hygiene materials, and students or staff going to school despite having symptoms of contagious diseases accelerate the spread of infections. Infectious disease control in schools, vaccination, hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, environmental cleaning and disinfection, food hygiene, ventilation, practices for infectious disease outbreaks, and management of emergencies in infectious diseases should be taken as a basis. These are effective methods to prevent the spread of most infectious diseases. Therefore, it should be implemented consistently in schools. In schools, students and school staff, as well as parents and other community members, can be educated about health behaviors to prevent infections. Healthy behaviors learned in schools can contribute to future health and well-being.
