Afrika'nın efsanevi siyasi liderleri: Mandela ve diğer önemli kişilikler

Abstract

Tesadüfi değildir ki, 20. yüzyılda dünya siyaset tarihine geçen çok önemli bazı devlet adamları Afrika ülkelerinden çıkmıştır. Bu, Afrika ülkelerinin karşılaştıkları zor koşulların da etkisiyle liderlik kapasitesi yüksek ve toplumsal sorunlara duyarlı bazı bilge liderlerin zaman içerisinde Afrika’nın sosyoekonomik ve sosyopolitik koşullarında yetişebilmesinden ve toplumlarına yön verebilmesinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bu yazıda 20. yüzyıl Afrika siyasetine damgasını vurmuş Patrice Lumumba, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara ve özellikle de Güney Afrika’yı utanç verici “apartheid” rejiminden kurtaran Nelson Mandela’nın hayatı ve siyasal mirasları değerlendirecektir.

It is no coincidence that some of the most important statesmen in the history of world politics in the 20th century came from African countries. This is because due to the difficult conditions faced by African countries, some wise leaders with high leadership capacity and sensitivity to social problems were able to grow in the socio-political conditions of Africa over time and shape their societies. In this context, this paper will assess the lives and political legacies of Patrice Patrice Lumumba, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara and especially Nelson Mandela, who led South Africa out of the disgraceful “apartheid” regime.
